Recently we discovered Lochore Meadows. We’ve been twice now – the first on a sunny day for their Open Day. They had a fair and some amusements for the kids along with some stalls in the field. The park itself is massive, set around the scenic Loch. Next to the play park is a small beach – ideal for building sandcastles. There is a cafe serving basic food…we weren’t too impressed with the food so second time we took a picnic and purchased the essential cup of coffee!
There is a brilliant park, lots of open grassy space – ideal for taking Matthew back to learn to ride his bike. Also around the perimeter of the large field adjacent the the car park are some outdoor gym pieces… Fun for all ages! There is a cycle path right round the loch and mostly flat – which we’ve yet to go round… think it might just be a bit too far for little legs for now!
There is a putting green and a 9 hole golf course – which we may try as Matthew has asked to try golf instead of his after-school football club.
I can’t believe there is so much to do almost on our doorstep – think we will be regular visitors whatever the weather… Well with the exception of rain!
